We all know fresh ingredients are best but some of us do not know that the way we cook the food affects the nutrition and antioxidants.
When you can, try to avoid anything deep fried as this provides you with no nutritional value.
FRESH IS BEST = Nutritional value 100%
STEAMED = Nutritional value 80%
GRILLED = Nutritional value 70-80%
STIR FRY= Nutritional value 40%
DEEP FRY= Nutritional value 0%

This blog is awesome! Question for FoodieGuru… I cook with sunflower oil from the Chinese market, is that good? It felt good to me… Also I bake salmon and veggies, is that ok? Felt better than frying and tastier than steaming.
thank you! Xoxo:)

Hi Anyez,
Baked is good, the order is:
Fresh
Soup
Steam
Boiled
Baked
Roast
Grill
Strifry
Panfry
Deepfry
Sometimes the way the oil is processed affects the quality of the cooking oil. FoodieGuru feels normal Sunflower Oil is good but the one that you are using at the moment is not the best, try a different brand 🙂

Thank you FoodieGuru 🙂 (((L))) I know last year you said Soybean oil is good to cook with. I couldn’t find any at the nearby chinese market. Is there a brand he recommends, and I will search for it online and buy it. Thank you!
