FoodieGurus Favourite Breakfast Muesli

As we already know, the freshness of raw ingredients makes a difference in the quality of the end product, however the way different companies process these raw ingredients also plays an equally important part in how healthy the product is.

With so many different choices and types of muesli in the supermarket rack, one stood out above the rest. Brookfarm gourmet Muesli is made by an Australian company, they are a world apart from the cardboard taste of traditional supermarket mueslis.

With three different types (gluten free/ natural/ toasted), only 1 was particularly special: the “Macadamia Toasted Muesli”, This comes in 2 flavours Apricot and Cranberries.

Not only it is healthy, it tastes great! And serves as a great snack. We suggest eating it with milk for the best taste!

The interesting thing is that although the raw ingredients are exactly the same as the natural muesli, the toasted version was many times better.

Funnily enough, many say natural muesli is much healthier than toasted muesli. So we decided to do some investigation. FoodieGuru felt that average toasted muesli in the supermarket was less healthy than the natural muesli, so why is it different in this case?

After checking many factors we found the reason why this muesli was so different from all the others and we think we will be so happy to be able to experiment making healthy muesli designed with the heart.

  1. Thank you – great post! This is interesting because I have also been surprised to feel that in some cases, a toasted muesli felt better than a raw muesli when I was comparing mueslis at the grocer. I love a good muesli, so thanks for pointing out this product. Manufacturing beautiful mueslis and breakfast products with the heart is something that I’d love to do 🙂

  2. Dear FoodieGuru 🙂 I ordered this online last week & got it yesterday. Tried it and loved it. Feels so good to have it. Just a handful with milk was a heavy enough breakfast for me. Thank you 🙂 🙂 (L)
